Julie Harris - Senior Safety Advisor - Sanwell Group
I obtained my Diploma in OHS in 2006 and have worked on numerous projects for the mining and construction industry over the years on a FI/FO basis. My introduction into OHS began in Ravensthorpe on the RJV Nickel Project where i worked as a safety advisor for 18 months. In 2007 I secured a position to travel to Tasmania for the Avebury Nickel Project in Zeehan until mid-2008. Works involved the engineering, procurement, construction and management of the mine site. Since then my work has taken me to various locations throughout WA, Mt Magnet on the Windimurra Vanadium project, Cloudbreak Mine site with Fortescue Metals Group and Pannawonica for Rio Tinto. In 2009 I was appointed the Senior Safety Advisor for Downer EDI works covering all WA operations for all regional projects. It was at this time I was contacted by Sanwell to assist with the re-development of their HSE documentation for the Fiona Stanley Hospital project. I was invited to join the company shortly after and was appointed the role of Senior Safety Advisor, providing HSE assistance for the Sanwell Group of Companies. I am based at the Fiona Stanley Hospital project and provide ongoing assistance for all of our current projects throughout the WA region. I have two adult sons, I love harmony in the home, I love dancing, socialising, retaining a healthy lifestyle, cooking & eating (as everyone will tell you), love to have a good laugh and enjoy relaxing when I can with friends and family
